James Fredette, going by ‘Jimmer’ for his career, was a professional Mormon basketball player who enjoyed a career studded with plaudits and awards, his earliest success being with Brigham Young University in which he took the title of top scorer for NCAA’s first division.

When he turned pro, Jimmer made a name for himself as a celebrity Mormon basketball player and went from strength to strength, earning more awards such as the National Player of the Year, the Wooden Award, and the Oscar Robertson Trophy.
