Byron Foulger | Mormon Actors

/
Characterizing meek-mannered characters in generations of shows and films, this famous Mormon was a mainstay in the entertainment industry where he brought to life characters ranging from storekeepers to henchman. As a Mormon actor, Foulger’s range was quite subtle and effective in portraying characters that could be either comedic or quite dark and sinister.

By the end of his life, this Mormon celebrity was so well known that his identity itself could be used for comedy in certain productions. Famously, while performing one of his familiar roles as a store clerk, he is informed by a customer that he recognises him from somewhere; to which Foulger’s character replied: “I’ve got that kind of face.”
