Brian Mitchell | Infamous Mormons

[sc:top_left_adsense300x250_1] A tragic story of kindness being repaid with betrayal, infamous Mormon Brian Mitchell was homeless and in need of money when Ed Smart gave him a few days work in 2002. Mitchell, known as ‘Emmanuel’, followed Smart home where he proceeded to kidnap his daughter and hold her to random. After nine months, police located him and his hostage for which they attempted to make Mitchell stand trial despite his repeated interruptions, interfering with court procedure.

As a Mormon, Mitchell served as a high councillor and a temple worker before he was excommunicated in 2003, a year after the kidnapping incident had taken place. [sc:top_left_content] [sc:gallery_link]
