Arnold Friberg | Mormon Artists

/
Although this famous Mormon artist once wanted to draw cartoons for newspapers, he was instead drawn to grander works and moved into commercial art after studying at Chicago’s Academy of Fine Arts. His status as a celebrity Mormon artist came from his work on the film The Ten Commandments, as well as other films for which he drew concept art for settings, scenes, and character wardrobe.

His career was spent primarily working for the Royal Canadian Mounted Police, as their chief illustrator. He sadly passed away in 2010, at the grand old age of 96.
